5 Minute Makeup Routine

I don't know about you guys but I find it hard to find the time to get ready in the morning with my little lady. Watching her is hard but when you also have 10,000 other things to do with your time, it's hard to find the time to get ready and feel good.

I have recently discovered my quick, go to makeup routine to make my life quicker and easier. And I thought, this would be awesome to share with you guys and maybe make YOUR life easier, too! Or just hear about products you may not know about! So let's get started.

So I no longer use a primer. I used to use one religiously but I honestly don't think it makes a difference to now long my makeup lasts. Instead, I have been using my Clean & Clear Hydrating Gel Moisturizer. It gives a good, very mildly tacky surface that helps the makeup stick and stay for longer. And is hydrating as well, so what more could you need.

My skin has cleared up a lot recently which means I don't require a super heavy foundation. If I had a CC cream, I would use that, but right now I am using my NYX Total Control Drops mixed with my Annabelle Perfect Gleam Highlighting Drops in Aurora. It gives me some glow to my skin and gives me coverage, too. The Total Control Drop in the shade 05 Light. are easily build-able so you CAN have a full coverage if you wanted. And yes, I do the silly Instagram drops down my face, because it's funny. And I just use a super cheap drug store sponge, I love it.

Whilst my foundation is drying down, I'll move onto my brows. I recently dyed my hair red, if you didn't notice, and I have found it mildly impossible to find brow products for red heads. If you know of any, let me know! But for now I am using the various orange/ red toned shadows in the NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette in Warm Neutrals. It's come in handy since I dyed my hair but makes it impossible to make my brows look natural. I need an orange dip brow or something. And once they're done and shaped, I will set it with my Essence Clear Lash & Brow Gel to try and make sure it doesn't move.

I try to avoid using too much concealer under my eyes, but on days where it's truly needed, I use the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer. Sadly, I am SO pale that even the lightest shade isn't light enough to highlight my face. Which is a shame but it has really good coverage. I also run this over my eyelid as a shadow base. To set everything I use the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, I prefer to use a loose powder but this has been working fine for now and gives me the coverage that I want.

Because I'm so pale, I need to add some colour back into my face. To do this I use my Hoola Bronzer from Benefit. I REALLY want to try the one designed for paler skin, but I love this stuff. And to add some pink back to my skin, I use the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in the shade Paaarty. This was my free gift from Sephora for my birthday and I love it. I love the Tarte Blushes and I really hope to get more.

I am so basic when it comes to my eyes, sometimes I do a full eye look but for my usual natural look I use this Quo Eyeshadow Palette in Stone Cold. I just use the grey/ taupe shade. This is the only taupe shadow that I have found that is actually cool toned. It gives the perfect contour shade for my crease and makes it a natural look. And then just mascara, I use the Maybelline Great Lash Lots Of Lashes. Like I said, really simple for my eyes most day. My hairs are really pale so I need to do brows and mascara or I look a little weird. I always highlight my brow bone, my inner eye corner, nose, cheek bones, and my Cupid's bow. I have been using the NYX Illuminator in Ritualistic for a long time and it has become my favourite natural highlight.

And last, for the lips! I use my EOS Lip Balm to make sure my lips are moisturized. I am on the hunt for a new lip scrub, so if anyone has a suggestions for that, let me know. And for colour I have been using the Rimmel 1000 Kissed Lip Liner in 040 Neutral. It's the perfect "your lips but better" colour for me and allows me to over line slightly without it looking strange.

Looking at it like this, it seems like a lot of products, but this has allowed me to be able to get ready quickly and still feel good without my skin being cakey. Let me know if you use any of these products or if you have any recommendations for me. I'd love to hear them.

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you found it interesting. Remember to find me on my social media platforms, I am @frankiiebeauty everywhere. It's the best way to keep track of myself, my pregnancy and baby Isla in between my posts.
